Beauty queen

Welcome to this new article about the place of the beauty in body art. We talked, last time, about over make-up, today will talk about Drag Queen.

So, what is called a Drag Queen ? Basicaly, Drag queen (or drag King) were men or women who disguise themselve for the show. Today these are the drag queen that are highlighted since the controversies created around them. If the drag queen are primarily actors, they can dress up for fun or for themselve.

Why did they cause so much controversy? The answer is very simple, we live in a society still very closed (although it tends to open up) and where gender differentiation holds an important place. Thus a person is man or woman. Until recently transsexual, travert is people were considered marginalized. Now they tend to be recognized and assert their right. Because everyone should have access to their rights, whatever their gender, their peculiarities because we are all different from each other.

Going back to the Drag Queen, they now play a role in our society which is self-acceptance and by others of ourselves and shows that judgment and marginalization should not be part of our behaviour. We find this vision in an episode of the, well-known, series: sex education, where the protagonist Eric works on himself and on the gaze of others to accept himself, so we see a Drag Queen, as a personification of acceptance.

So Don’t stop your gaze on the appearance of someone and don’t be scare to be yourself, because you are unique !
