BODY PAINT AND BODY POSTIVE

Hi everyone!
Today I come back to talk to you about a subject that is particularly close to my heart : the positive body.
This is our first article in the body paint section, so do you know what it is?
Body painting is an art which consists in painting the body. It’s one of the first forms of plastic expression practiced by humanity. And recently this art has been put at the service of a pretty cause, the positive body's one.

What's the body positive spirit?

As the name suggests, it’s only positive: self-acceptance and of the other, non-discrimination, refusal of the cult of appearance and advocating diversity whether by age group, style or origin. And for that there are rules: no touch-up erasing physical features, no paint pattern "erasing" the body, but on the contrary putting it forward and for that women have imagination!

Glitters

Yes you read correctly! Glitter is not only used to make up for a festival and to shine all night long, it’s also used by women to highlight and sublimate everything that society calls flaws to encourage self-love.
Covering your buttocks and breasts with glitter, a process used by several artists and body positive activists to accept your body.
This trend was born following the “Positively Glittered” project born in September 2017 which involved covering the naked body of several women with glitter or metallic paints. Its aim is to show all the bodies, even accompanying the changes in body shape experienced by pregnant women, but also and above all, helping complexed women to accept and love their bodies.

It was Sara Shakeel who met a great success on Instagram by transforming her stretch marks into a work of art. She used this form of body paint by highlighting and sublimating her stretch marks with glitter to transmit a positive message : "I have never felt so powerful, liberated and so proud of my stretch marks in my entire life," she wrote in one of her publications.

Body paint, a nice way to sublimate your body and learn to love yourself.
