THE EAR CONSTELLATION

Today, we are going to take a closer look at a subject that was mentioned by Clélia in a previous article: the ear constellation.
What is called the ear piercing constellation is a trend that arrived in 2016 in the United States.
It’s a combination of three or more piercings per ear arranged on the ear lobe and one or more piercings made in the cartilage of the ear, called helix piercing.
Where does this trend come from?
It was in Los Angeles that the star piercer Brian Keith Thompson launched his new trend in his Body Electric studio workshop, sprinkling tiny sparkling jewelry on ear.
For this expert, each ear has a unique shape, with more or less sinuous cartilages, small or large lobes, and therefore deserves tailor-made treatment.
He also presents some models of achievements on his Instagram account. Indeed, this is a trend that has exploded particularly thanks to social networks where influencers, stars and others highlight their ears sublime by a multitude of small jewelry.

What are the main features of piercing constellations?
According to Studex and percagedesoreilles.fr, piercing constellations are a sub-trend of multiple ear piercings which have several characteristics such as having at least 3 loops per ear, all loops in the shape of planets, stars, moons, circles, a combination of ear jewelery of different sizes or a different arrangement of ear piercings on each ear (asymmetry).
What jewelry to use?
Fleas or tiny rings are particularly suitable jewelry for this trend.
It is also preferable to combine loops of the same color and made of the same material. But this trend being very connected by the stars and the media, there is today a multitude of brand that offers you pretty little jewels to beautify your ear like Urban Outfitters.
